Undergraduate Awards for Excellence in Medieval Studies

CEMERS has recently established the Bernardo Undergraduate Award for Excellent in Medieval Studies. The criteria for this award, recognizing graduating seniors, include a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher. We congratulate two of our majors who will receive the award this spring: Danielle McKanic-Berman (3.82) and Jerry Shriver, Jr. (4.0)

Graduate Appointments for 2008-2009

Congratulations to Christian Beck (English), who will serve as the CEMERS Graduate Assistant in 2008-2009, and Krista Wildman (History), who has been appointed to teach MDVL 101 (“Intro to Medieval & Early Modern Studies”) in 2008-2009.

Both appointments reflect the merits of the recipients and the high regard in which they are held by CEMERS faculty. We are particularly pleased to have kept the adjunct money for 101 as internal funding for one of our own doctoral students, as part of our efforts to increase graduate support on campus in Medieval/Early Modern Studies.
